Donut Coloring Pages

Smiling Donut coloring page

Twenty free donut coloring pages — iced rings, crullers, twists, filled doughnuts, a doughnut shop, a unicorn, a sleepy cat and detailed mandala and zentangle pages for older colourists. One page is six completely plain doughnuts for decorating yourself.

Whether you spell it donut or doughnut, these are the same pages — every icing, sprinkle and drip is drawn as an outline, so nothing is decided before a child picks up a pencil.

Six blank doughnuts to decorate

One page is deliberately plain: six ring doughnuts with completely empty tops and empty holes, and the decorating kit drawn separately along the bottom — a piping bag, a bowl of sprinkles, cherries, shakers and a spatula. Nothing is placed for you. It is the page for a child who would rather design a doughnut than colour someone else's.

Not just rings

Most doughnut collections are the same iced ring over and over with a different topping. One page here is nine genuinely different shapes — a French cruller with deep ridges, a long twist, a figure-of-eight, a filled round with no hole at all, a sugared ring, a square-cut one, a doughnut hole ball and a half-dipped ring. They are different things to draw, not different sprinkles.

Scenes, not just food

There is a doughnut shop with a bear behind the counter, a kitchen where three animals roll, cut and dip, a picnic under a tree with doughnuts hanging from the branches, a rainy day where doughnuts fall with the raindrops, and a striped cat asleep on a doughnut the size of a cushion with a mouse curled in the hole.

Pages you write on as well as colour

The shop sign, the menu board, the price tags and the box lid are all left blank. So is the envelope the mouse is holding on the heart doughnut page.

Easy through to detailed

The easy pages have thick outlines and large open areas for a crayon. The middle pages will hold a school-age child for half an hour. The detailed pages — twelve zentangle doughnuts, the mandala, the wall of twenty-five, the doodle sheet and the Donut Day lettering — will take an adult most of an evening.

Print the whole set at once

The button at the top bundles all twenty into a single download. Every page is a vector PDF at 300 DPI in both US Letter and A4, so it stays sharp however far you zoom in.
