February Coloring Pages

Hello February coloring page

Twenty free February coloring pages — a blank February calendar to fill in yourself, Groundhog Day, Mardi Gras masks and a parade float, cosy winter animals, a Leap Day frog and detailed mandala and hand-lettering pages for older colourists.

Two of the pages carry the word February in hollow bubble letters, so the letters are something to colour rather than something already printed in black.

A calendar you fill in yourself

The calendar page is deliberately blank. The grid, the weekday initials and the word February are all drawn as outlines, and the date boxes are left empty — so a child writes the numbers in, colours the header and ends up with a calendar that is genuinely theirs. It works in any year, which a pre-printed one does not.

The whole month, not just Valentine's

Most February collections are hearts from end to end. Hearts are here, but so is the rest of the month: a groundhog popping out of its burrow, a second groundhog page with its shadow stretched across the snow, a Mardi Gras masquerade mask, a parade float, a jester hat hung with beads, and a frog leaping past a big number 29 for Leap Day. If you want a page that is all hearts, the Valentine's Day set is the one to print.

Even the shadow is left white

A groundhog's shadow is the one thing on a Groundhog Day page that every other version prints as a solid black shape — which removes the most interesting region on the sheet. Here it is drawn as a hollow outline lying on the snow, so it can be coloured blue, purple or whatever a child decides a shadow looks like. The same goes for the penguins, the raccoon's mask and the snowflakes: outlines, not fills.

Easy through to detailed

The five easy pages have thick outlines and large open areas for a crayon and a four-year-old. The nine middle pages — the calendar, the parade float, the bird feeder, the forest gathering — will hold a school-age child for half an hour. The six detailed pages, including the Mardi Gras mask, the February mandala and the botanical hand-lettering, will take an adult most of an evening.

Print the whole month at once

The button at the top bundles all twenty into a single download. Every page is a vector PDF at 300 DPI in both US Letter and A4, so it stays sharp however far you zoom in.

Frequently asked questions

Are these February coloring pages free?

Yes — every page is a free PDF with no signup, no email and no watermark on the artwork.

Is there a blank February calendar to colour?

Yes. The calendar page has an empty grid with the weekday initials and a bubble-letter February header, so the dates get written in by hand and it works in any year.

Do you have Groundhog Day pages?

Two — a groundhog popping out of its burrow, and one looking back at its own shadow, which is drawn as a hollow outline so it can be coloured in.

Is Mardi Gras included?

Three pages: an ornate masquerade mask, a parade float throwing beads, and a jester hat hung with bells and bead strings.

Is there a Leap Day page?

Yes — a frog leaping past a large hollow number 29.

Which pages suit a young child?

The Hello February lettering, the groundhog, the snowman, the mittens and cocoa, and the cupcake all have thick outlines and large open areas.

Can I print these for a classroom?

Yes. Print as many copies as you need for a class, a party or a church group. Please do not resell the files or host them elsewhere.

What paper size are they?

Every page comes in both US Letter and A4, so it prints properly on either.
