Religious Easter Coloring Pages
Twenty free religious Easter coloring pages — Palm Sunday, the table set for the Last Supper, three empty crosses, the stone rolled away from the tomb, Easter lilies, a lamb, a dove and a country church on Easter morning, plus a stained glass window, a mandala and a zentangle page for older colourists.
One page tells the whole Holy Week story in eight pictures, and one is an open Bible with completely blank pages so a verse can be written in by hand.

Download PDF A4 PNGThe whole story, in order
Most religious Easter collections decorate the holiday without narrating it. This one follows the week: a donkey walking over palm branches, the gate of the city, a long table set with cups and a broken loaf, a jug and a basin, an olive garden under a crescent moon, three empty crosses on a hill, the stone rolled away with the linen folded on the ledge, and the sun coming up over the lilies. The story page puts all eight in one grid, which works as a Sunday school handout as well as a coloring page.
No eggs and no rabbits
Not one page in this set has an Easter egg or a bunny on it. That is deliberate — a lot of people search for religious Easter pages precisely because they do not want them. If you want the eggs as well, they have their own sets.
No pictures of Jesus
There are no human figures anywhere in this set. Christian traditions differ on images of Christ, and a set without them can be used by all of them. Each scene is told instead through what is in it — the donkey, the palm branches, the table, the empty crosses, the open tomb.
Pages you write on as well as colour
The open Bible has two completely blank pages, so the verse is chosen and lettered by whoever colours it. The crown of thorns has an empty ribbon banner threaded through it for the same reason, and the lamb carries a blank banner on its staff.
Nothing is printed dark for you
The two things always spoiled on pages like these are the tomb and the crosses — the tomb printed as a black hole and the crosses as solid silhouettes, which removes the largest shapes on the page. Here the tomb mouth is white and open, and every cross is a hollow outline with the grain of the timber drawn inside it. So is every stained glass pane, every thorn, every grape and every window of the church.
Easy through to detailed
The easy pages have extra-thick outlines and very large open areas for a crayon — the plain cross with lilies has about ten areas on the whole sheet. The middle pages will hold a school-age child for half an hour. The detailed pages — the stained glass window, the mandala, twelve patterned crosses and the doodle sheet of thirty symbols — will take an adult most of an evening.
Print the whole set at once
The button at the top bundles all twenty into a single download. Every page is a vector PDF at 300 DPI in both US Letter and A4, so it stays sharp however far you zoom in.
Frequently asked questions
Are these religious Easter coloring pages free?
Yes — every page is a free PDF with no signup, no email and no watermark on the artwork.
Do any of these pages have Easter eggs or bunnies on them?
No. Not one of the twenty. That is deliberate — many people looking for religious Easter pages want them without. Our Easter egg and Easter sets have those.
Do the pages show pictures of Jesus?
No. There are no human figures anywhere in the set. Christian traditions differ on images of Christ, so each scene is told through its setting instead — the donkey and palm branches, the table, the empty crosses, the open tomb.
Is there a page about the whole Easter story?
Yes. One sheet tells Holy Week in eight pictures in order, from Palm Sunday through to Easter morning, which works as a Sunday school handout as well as a coloring page.
Is there a page for writing a Bible verse on?
Yes — an open Bible with two completely blank pages, framed by Easter lilies. The crown of thorns page also has an empty ribbon banner for the same purpose. For verses already lettered, see the Bible verse coloring pages.
Which pages suit a young child?
The plain cross with lilies, the He Is Risen lettering, the lamb and the dove all have extra-thick outlines and large open areas.
Which pages suit an adult?
The stained glass window, the Easter cross mandala, the twelve patterned crosses and the doodle page of thirty symbols are the long ones.
Can I print these for a Sunday school or church?
Yes. Print as many copies as you need for a class, a church group or a family. Please do not resell the files or host them elsewhere.
