Ghost pages are usually printed half-finished: two solid black eyes and a black open mouth, which is the most interesting part of the page already decided for you. Not here. Every eye and every mouth on all twenty sheets is an outline with white paper inside it, so a ghost can end up blue, green or bright pink with eyes to match.
The same goes for everything around them. The pumpkin's carved face is open white paper rather than black holes, the bats are outlines rather than silhouettes, the cat is not a black cat, every window in the haunted house is left clear, and the night sky is white on every page.
Friendly rather than frightening
These ghosts smile. Nothing in the set is gruesome, there is no blood and no horror, and the tombstones have nothing written on them — so the pages suit a nervous four-year-old as well as an older child who wants something to fill in properly.
Halloween, or any time of year
About a third of the set is clearly Halloween: the pumpkin, the witch's hat, the graveyard, the haunted house and the trick-or-treaters. The rest — the sleeping ghost, the ghost with a balloon, the ghost family, the mandala — work just as well in March.
A page for the very youngest
The second sheet is one enormous ghost face filling the whole page, with two big hollow eyes and a round mouth. There is nothing else on it. For a toddler with a fat crayon it is the easiest page on the site.
Which page to start with
The single ghost and the ghost face are the most forgiving — big shapes, thick lines. The patterned ghost, the doodle sheet and the mandala are the slow ones and work better with fineliners than pencils.
Printing
Print at 100% scale rather than “fit to page”, and match the file to your paper — Letter or A4. The button at the top bundles all twenty into a single download.
Frequently asked questions
Are these ghost coloring pages free?
Yes — all twenty download as free PDFs with no account, no email and no watermark on the artwork.
Are the ghosts' eyes already filled in black?
No. Every eye and every mouth in the set is drawn as an outline with white paper inside it, so you choose those colours too.
Is there a big ghost face to print?
Yes — one sheet is a single enormous ghost face filling the page, with nothing else on it. It is the simplest page in the set and works well as a face template.
Are these scary?
No. The ghosts smile, there is nothing gruesome anywhere in the set, and the tombstones are blank.
Which pages suit a toddler?
The ones marked Easy — the ghost face, the single ghost and the sleeping ghost use thick outlines and large open areas.
Which pages suit an adult?
The patterned ghost, the ghost mandala and the haunted house have the finest detail.
Is there a haunted house?
Yes — a tall crooked house with four ghosts around it, and every one of its windows is left as clear white paper rather than blacked in.
Do you have other Halloween pages?
Yes — a twenty-page Halloween set and a twenty-page Halloween cat set. This one does not repeat them.
What paper size are the files?
Every page comes in both US Letter and A4, so it prints properly on either.
