Easter Egg Coloring Pages

Big Easter Egg coloring page

Twenty free Easter egg coloring pages — one giant banded egg, a chick hatching, an egg hunt in the garden, an egg tree, a dozen eggs in a carton, and detailed mandala, stained glass, floral and zentangle pages for older colourists.

Three of the pages are not coloring pages at all. One is nine plain egg templates to trace round and cut out, one is six completely blank eggs with the brushes and patterns drawn separately, and one is a cut-out craft sheet for making an egg garland.

Templates and a cut-out craft, not just coloring

A lot of people searching for an Easter egg do not want a picture to colour — they want a plain shape to draw round, cut out and pin up. Nothing on this page is decorated for you: the template sheet is nine bare egg outlines in graded sizes with completely empty insides, the decorate-your-own sheet has six blank eggs sitting in egg cups with paint pots, brushes, ribbons and five loose pattern samples laid out below to copy from, and the garland sheet has eight blank eggs with dashed cut lines and punched holes, plus the ribbon and pegs to hang them from.

A page a two-year-old can actually finish

Most Easter egg pages assume a child who can stay inside a narrow line. The first page in this set does not: four enormous eggs, outlines twice the usual thickness, no more than three regions in any egg, and nothing else on the paper at all. It is meant for a toddler with a fat crayon and about four minutes of patience.

Nothing is printed dark for you

The giveaway on most Easter egg pages is the spots — printed as solid black dots, which removes the part a child would most enjoy filling in. Every dot in this set is a hollow ring. So is every rabbit nose, every hoof, every lead line in the stained glass and every flower centre. The only solid black anywhere in the twenty pages is the pupil of an eye.

Scenes, not specimens

An egg on its own is a quick colour and a bored child. Most of these pages put the eggs somewhere: three animals hunting them across a garden, four friends painting them at a table with the paint pots and the half-finished one still lying on its side, a nest of five on a blossoming branch with one just beginning to crack, a picnic under a garland, and a full egg tree in a patterned pot.

Easy through to detailed

The easy pages have thick outlines and large open areas for a crayon. The middle pages will hold a school-age child for half an hour. The detailed pages — the mandala, the stained glass window, the egg packed edge to edge with flowers, twelve zentangle eggs and the doodle sheet of thirty — will take an adult most of an evening.

Print the whole set at once

The button at the top bundles all twenty into a single download. Every page is a vector PDF at 300 DPI in both US Letter and A4, so it stays sharp however far you zoom in.

Frequently asked questions

Are these Easter egg coloring pages free?

Yes — every page is a free PDF with no signup, no email and no watermark on the artwork.

Is there an Easter egg template to cut out?

Yes. One page is nine plain egg outlines in graded sizes with completely empty insides, drawn with a thick clean line and spaced so scissors can pass between them.

Is there a blank Easter egg to decorate myself?

Yes — six blank eggs standing in egg cups, with paintbrushes, paint pots, ribbons and five loose pattern samples drawn separately below, so nothing is placed for you.

Do you have an Easter egg craft?

Yes. The garland sheet has eight blank eggs with dashed cut lines and punched holes at the top, plus a length of ribbon, bows and pegs to string them up with.

Which page suits a toddler or preschooler?

The first one. Four enormous eggs with extra-thick outlines, no more than three areas to colour in each, and nothing else on the page to distract.

Which pages suit an adult?

The Easter egg mandala, the stained glass window, the egg filled edge to edge with flowers, the twelve zentangle eggs and the doodle page are the long ones.

Are the eggs printed with black spots?

No. Every dot, band and pattern is a hollow outline waiting to be coloured. The only solid black in the whole set is the pupil of an eye.

Can I print these for a classroom or an egg hunt?

Yes. Print as many copies as you need for a class, a party or a church group. Please do not resell the files or host them elsewhere.
