Nothing arrives already coloured

Ribbon is the thing colouring pages usually spoil: the folds get shaded in to show the satin twist, and the knot gets filled black. Not here. Every loop, knot and tail on all twenty sheets is left as white paper, and where the ribbon folds or passes behind itself it is marked by a single thin line with clean white on both sides — so the shine is yours to put in, or leave out.

The decoration is drawn the same way. Every polka dot is an open circle rather than a filled one, every stripe is a single line, and the hearts, stars and flower centres are all outlines, so a spotted bow can have twelve different coloured spots if you like.

One bow, or a page full of them

Three of the sheets are collections rather than single pictures: six large bows in different styles, twelve small ones in a grid, and fifteen strung along ribbon swags like bunting. They are the ones to print if you want variety on one page, or something to cut out and stick.

A template for cutting out

One sheet is a plain bow outline with almost nothing inside it and a smooth simple edge, meant for tracing round, cutting out or using as a craft shape rather than colouring in.

Bows on other things

A cat with a bow at its neck and another on its tail, a teddy bear holding a stitched heart, a wrapped present with curling ribbon, a bouquet tied with a bow, three bow ties under a collar, and hair bows on snap clips and headbands.

For older children and adults

The patterned bow splits into about ten panels of zentangle work, the rose bow has flowers and pearls climbing along the ribbon, and the lace frame is a full border of scallops, eyelets and corner bows with a blank oval in the middle to draw or write in.

Which page to start with

The single big bow and the template are the most forgiving — thick lines and large open areas. The rose bow, the mandala and the lace frame are the slow ones and work better with fineliners than pencils.

Printing

Print at 100% scale rather than “fit to page”, and match the file to your paper — Letter or A4. The button at the top bundles all twenty into a single download.

Frequently asked questions

Are these bow coloring pages free?

Yes — all twenty download as free PDFs with no account, no email and no watermark on the artwork.

Is there a page with lots of bows on it?

Three of them. One sheet has six large bows in different styles, one has twelve small ones in a grid, and one has fifteen strung along ribbon swags.

Is there a bow template to cut out?

Yes — one sheet is a plain bold bow outline with almost nothing inside it and a smooth simple edge, made for tracing round or cutting out.

Are the ribbons already shaded in?

No. Every loop, knot and tail is left as white paper. Folds are marked with a single thin line rather than shading, so nothing is coloured for you.

Are there hair bows?

Yes — a sheet of hair bows on snap clips, an alligator clip and two headbands.

Which pages suit a toddler?

The ones marked Easy — the single big bow, the template and the bow character use thick outlines and large open areas.

Which pages suit an adult?

The patterned bow, the rose-covered bow, the bow mandala and the lace frame have the finest detail.

Is there a bow tie?

Yes — one sheet has three bow ties, one under a shirt collar, one spotted and one striped.

Can I print these for a classroom?

Yes. Classroom use is fine and you can print as many copies as you need. Please do not resell them.

What paper size are the files?

Every page comes in both US Letter and A4, so it prints properly on either.
